Modular Engineer

Responsibilities

The Modular Design Manager will be responsible for developing product designs for projects, new product innovation, and business development support. This person will drive product design and engineering, quality assurance, code compliance, and alignment with ZETA's sustainability standards. The Modular Design Manager will develop green technology specifications that are cost effective. This person will monitor production and sales related to procedural compliance, quality control, manufacturing engineering, and cost reduction programs. This position is based in San Francisco, and will require frequent weekly travel to the ZETA plant in Sacramento.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience with systems-built structures and third party submittal procedures;
• 4-year degree in architecture or related field;
• Complete working knowledge of design, structural and plan approval packages, and all building code requirements, including, but not limited to, (a) UBC, IRC, CBC, Commercial Building codes;
• Strong experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD;
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing operations methodology;
• Experience working closely with engineering and manufacturing for integrated design implementation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with BIM technologies;
• Knowledge of green and energy efficient building best practices and designs;
• Experience with multifamily and commercial construction projects
