El Cerrito Recycling Center is a LEED Platinum and Net Zero Energy redevelopment project sponsored by the City of El Cerrito. ZETA was selected as the off-site fabricator of the primary administrative facility as part of a team led by Pankow Builders and Noll & Tam Architects. The project team was awarded the project from a pool of five bidders due to design, budget, green and energy efficient principles and speed of execution. The ZETA facility is a butterfly design structure with a 16' clerestory monitor running down the center of the building. With dual zone, energy efficient heating systems, sensor operated lighting with significant natural day-lighting, energy efficient appliances and a superior building envelope, the El Cerrito Recycling Center and it's administration facility will be a prominent example of high quality design, systems and execution.
