Built in ZETA's factory in four weeks, the Davis Waldorf School's new 4,000 square foot buildings were designed by Sustainable Education Environments Delivered (SEED) for modular production. The Davis Waldorf School's new sustainably built Kindergarten, office and multi-purpose building provide a holistic learning environment to foster the Davis Waldorf School's vision where, "Imagination and creativity are cultivated as well as cognitive growth and a sense of responsibility for the earth and its inhabitants." The structures incorporate sustainable building practices such as no VOC interior paint for high indoor air quality, Ecobatt insulation for energy efficiency, dual flush toilets for water conservation, ENERGY STAR®-rated Cool Roof for reduction in energy use and cooling costs, in addition to numerous skylights and ENERGY STAR® lighting fixtures for natural lighting. The school plans to install a green roof in the future.
SEED brings together innovative design and manufacturing solutions for educational spaces. They have developed a line of relocatable classrooms to meet the changing needs of today's private schools. These classrooms incorporate design for optimal learning and sustainable building systems and materials. www.seededspaces.com
